I don't remember exactly when I stumbled upon Mareen Fischinger's photography, but I was instantly floored. True, I'm a film enthusiast, so digital photography and/or post-processing is not something that I normally gravitate towards, but this was different. It was, and is, so damn cool!
The concept of taking multiple images of different parts of the same scene isn't new, but her take is refreshingly fun. I love how she adjusts the opacity of the images so that you can see the overlapping effect of the individual frames. It's not so distracting that you can't enjoy the whole image, yet your eyes revel in the dissection of the portrait.
